How it works
Whether you’re struggling with a specific issue like pulling on the leash, jumping on guests, or potty training, we can develop a custom training plan just for you and your dog.
All dogs can benefit from training, regardless of whether they’re a new puppy, newly adopted, or a companion you’ve had for years.
After an initial consultation to learn about your dog’s needs and your goals for training, we will put together a customized training plan to focus on addressing their specific issues. Sometimes this may take just one session, while other times it may be multiple sessions.
What to expect
Most of our training is done in-home. This offers several important benefits:
More convenient - You don’t have to drive to a classroom or training center
More personalized - Each session is just for your dog, so we can focus exclusively on their needs
More effective - Training in your home allows your dog to learn where they are most comfortable. This is especially helpful for dogs who are fearful or reactive around other dogs.
All of our training is interactive, and focuses on giving YOU the skills and methods to shape your dog’s behavior and train new behaviors. You will learn to reinforce positive behaviors you want, while discouraging negative behaviors you want to eliminate.
Additionally, all of our training uses only positive reinforcement methods. We do not use any punishments, shock collars, “e-collars,” prong collars, or other coercive methods.
